About Me
Welcome to my blog. This is a place for me to share and express my love for food. I am a piano teacher during the day and a baker throughout the day! My life I guess, took a direction in education and children, but if I had to start all over again I would become a baker. My cooking, like my life, is a real blend of cultures. I am Jordanian with parents from different backgrounds. I have lived a good chunk of my adult life in the UK and now live in Jordan… So my kitchen is a small world of dishes. So come in and enjoy.
About this blog
To be true to what I really cook in my kitchen I cant angle this blog to just Middle Eastern food. My knowledge of food is like a mosaic that is formed from a hundred little pieces of impressions, tastes and experiences that feeds into who I am as a cook..So Expect to see food that is closely linked to different cultures around the world and at the same time food that is suitable and enjoyable for children too. This quote from Julia Child sums up a big part of my interest in food and cooking “Cookbooks are the history of an epoch. They show how people prepared and ate the ingredients available to them…, they’re an essential ingredient to preserving our past and enhancing our future”.

Lara u have a great passion for food. Its not just food as a need to live or as an energy source that you are interested in …but rather the the way you present the recipes and your style that invites our appetites as readers. You interest us by telling your personal history of your grandmother’s cooking to her thoughts about food to the modern day usage of food as an art form. Its clear that you love greek food beside other dishes. You also perked your article when u talked about the organic veg market and you added a beautiful flower when you showed the photo of your daughter and her little story to the article. What I like as well is the title of your articles because food is a very important part of our life’s journey. So you must continue with this journey as you started it in the right way..all my wishes for a great success……..MO
